VOX - Chair Design

Vox is a chair design project designated to the WilsonArt Chair competition 2020. Vox is inspired by Felipe Pantone artworks, which portray digital aesthetic and demonstrate the relationship between 2D and 3D.

Vox is an attempt to transfer 2 dimensional art into 3 dimensions. The grid and the vibrant colours illustrate the beauty of digital elements. The base represents the 2D artwork, and the body represents the artwork being pulled into space, into a third direction.

The chair provides a sitting surface and a leaning surface. It can be used by 2 people at the same time. The wide range of colours was selected to celebrate WilsonArt
laminate.

Shape Formation

Vox's shape and pattern are defined by a grid of 2"x3". The pattern is then sliced into 2 parts and extruded t o form a 3D structure
